The laser uses a specific light frequency which gives it the ability to identify diseased tissue and ensure healthy tissue is not damaged.

The endodontist will then use an ultrasonic scaler to remove any surface deposits which are present. Lastly, the laser is used to form a stable fibrin blood clot. This contains bone stem cells and encourages the adhesion of the surrounding gum tissue to the implant. This ensures the implant is stable and also promotes the growth of new bone tissue. During the healing process, the portion of the tooth restoration above the gumline will reattach.
