Located in Licking counties, Reynoldsburg, Ohio is a beautiful suburban community in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. Originally called Frenchtown, Reynoldsburg’s name was later changed in honor of a local merchant from the area named John C. Reynolds in 1893.

Reynoldsburg is home to the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Ohio Fire Academy and State Fire Marshal’s offices, but is perhaps best known for being “The Birthplace of the Tomato." Local historians claim that the first commercial variety of tomato was bred in Reynoldsburg in the early 19 th century. Starting in 1965, to honor this achievement, locals began holding an annual “Tomato Festival” that is filled with fun activities as well as a “Tomato Festival Queen” contest. The festival draws thousands of visitors from the surrounding area who come to enjoy the local event that is fun for all ages.

The park, which includes a golf course, hiking trails, and beautiful open meadows, also contains over 600 acres of forests and ponds. Licking County Bike Trails

While visiting the area, the Licking County Bike Trails are the perfect place to go to burn off a little energy as well as experience the beautiful local scenery the Reynoldsburg area has to offer. The trails offer countless interesting things to see winding through the Raccoon Creek, including playgrounds, bridges, streams, and a wide variety of native birds.
